Mit einem unverwechselbaren Klang beim Schalten, gepaart mit verbesserter Leistung und Drehmoment – alles gekapselt in einem Volltitansystem – bietet die Slip-On Line (Titan) das Akrapovič-Erlebnis und erfüllt gleichzeitig die ECE-Typengenehmigung. Das System besteht aus leichten, hochwertigen Titanlegierungen und ist mit zwei Sätzen aus Kohlenstofffaser- /Titan-Endrohren ausgestattet. Es verfügt über komplexe Teile, die in der hauseigenen Titangießerei gefertigt wurden, einschließlich des Gehäuses der Ventile und der Sammler vom zentralen Schalldämpfer bis zu den Endrohren. Zwei Ventile – eines auf jeder Seite des Schalldämpfers – passen den Gasstrom an, um den unverwechselbaren Akrapovič-Sound zu erzeugen, der sich deutlich vom M8 mit Seriensystem unterscheidet. Der Auspuffton ist beim Schalten und Beschleunigen am deutlichsten wahrnehmbar und kann durch Hinzufügen des optionalen Akrapovič Sound Kits für gesteigerten Hörgenuss noch weiter gesteuert werden. Akrapovič hat beim Vergleichstest auf dem Akrapovič-Prüfstand mit einem BMW M8 Competition mit einer serienmäßigen M Sportauspuffanlage eine Leistungssteigerung von 14,3 PS bei 5.200 U/min und eine Drehmomentsteigerung von 19,4 Nm bei 5.200 U/min erzielt. Durch Hinzufügen des optionalen Evolution Link-Rohrsatzes (Titan) besteht auch die Möglichkeit einer weiteren Auspuffabstimmung. Durch die Verwendung des Link-Rohrsatzes wird der Gasfluss verändert und der bestmögliche Klang aus der Slip-On Line (Titan) erzielt. Zur weiteren Verbesserung hat Akrapovič optionale Teile entwickelt, um die Optik des Autos zu verändern und das schöne Finish der Auspuffendrohre des Systems zu ergänzen. Mit einem handgefertigten Diffusor aus Kohlefaser und Spiegelkappen in mattem und glänzendem Finish kann dem optischen Erlebnis eine besondere Note verliehen werden.
Mit der Installation des Evolution Link-Rohrsatzes erlischt die ECE-Typgenehmigung für die Slip-On Line-Auspuffanlage (Titanium) und eine Neuzuordnung der ECU ist bei der Montage obligatorisch.
